Philadelphia Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson’s
south Philadelphia home was broken into, and he was robbed of $250,000
in cash, $125,000 in jewelry and two semi-automatic handguns, according to MyFoxPhilly.com.
According
to the report, Jackson was not home when the burglary occurred and his
mother discovered the theft on Saturday morning. Jackson is in the
middle of a five-year, $48 million deal and will make $10.25 million in
2014.
"The
source says Jackson's mother went upstairs and found the place
ransacked sometime overnight, and called police Saturday morning.
“They say one of his safes was taken and two others were cracked open.
“We're told they got away with $250,000 worth of cash, $125,000 in jewelry and two semi-automatic handguns.”
Obviously, somebody found a way to unlock the door.
The
only good thing about this story is Jackson was not hurt during this
burglary. He also seems to be taking it in stride as he later posted
about the incident on Instagram.
"The things they do 4 a lil paper !!" Jackson wrote. "Keep a smile on my face God Plan 4 me bigger then that !! Know that"
Hopefully,
for Jackson, he learns it is probably not safe to leave $375,000 in
cash and jewelry, or two accessible handguns, in his home.
