'Yobo is overspent,' says Kashimawo Laloko

The former Gambia national team handler has advised Stephen Keshi not to pick the Norwich City defender in his squad for the 2014 Fifa World Cup

Former Nigeria Football Federation Technical Director Kashimawo Laloko has insisted that Joseph Yobo has got nothing to offer the Super Eagles anymore.
The seasoned tactician who also doubles as the Director of Pepsi Football Academy has warned the Super Eagles coaches not to bow to the pressure of taking former Everton player to the Brazil 2014 World Cup.

"My answer is no! There’s so much pressure on Keshi to take Yobo. Yobo is overspent,” Laloko told the News Agency of Nigeria.

"Keshi would remember that I was the one who invited Yobo to Malaga to start his career and the year 2000 to date is 14 years.

“What is Yobo coming to do that he has not done? If he puts him in the team, he’ll regret it. The man is old. He has done enough and I think he should go and rest,” he concluded.

Joseph Yobo who is the most capped Super Eagles player ever with 95 caps is expected to feature against the Mexican national team in an international friendly billed for Wednesday March 5 in Atlanta, USA.
