Female police officers and officers of the Nigerian
Civil Defence Corp came out today to protest with women in Nassarawa
state over the abduction of the Chibok girls. The women who gathered
under the aegis of Federation of Muslim Woman Association of
Nigeria(FOMWAN) and the Women wing of the Christian Association of
Nigeria(CAN) Nassarawa chapter, took to the streets of Lafia, with
placards bearing one message - bring back our girls.
They stopped at the Government house where they dropped a letter with the Secretary to the State Government, Hajiya Zainab Abdulmumin who is expected to pass it on to the state Governor.

One of the police officers, an assistant Supretendent of
Police (ASP) said during the protest
"We are law
enforcement officers and men. See us, we are women, we are mothers. Its
our daughters today, it could be we tomorrow" she said as she fought
tears.
