Jennifer Lopez sure has come a long way from the block!
The
sexy songstress hit Fox's 2014 Winter TCA Press Tour in Los Angeles on
Monday and looked hotter than she did nearly 20 years ago when she got
her first big break in the 1997 award-winning flick, "Selena."
The
44-year-old showcased her killer curves in a black Ermano Scervino
dress, which she paired with a set of Jimmy Choo heels, diamond hoop
earrings, and a bright orange lip color. She polished off her
head-turning ensemble with sleek, blown-out curls.
Later that
day, she stopped by "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." The famous chat
show host took her on a trip down memory lane by reminding her of her
first appearance on his show 17 years ago.
"You had a star power that was exciting," Leno complimented. "And you look exactly the same!"
Even
J.Lo herself joked that she hasn't changed a bit by posting a shot on
Instagram of her appearance on Leno with the caption, "J &J
#samegirl."
Fans of the pop powerhouse will remember that she
posted another shot on Instagram on Dec. 30 with the same hashtag, where
was posing at the subway station in her old Bronx neighborhood in a
pair of figure hugging jeans, heeled booties, a puffy jacket, and a
Yankees hat.
The
hashtag is referencing her new track "Same Girl," in which she sings
about going back to her old neighborhood in New York City. While the
mother-of-two appears to be same girl at heart, she certainly isn't the
same girl in the fashion department.
We'd beg that the
Bronx-bred bombshell looks better than ever with her lightened locks and
buff bod, which she's regularly been putting on display as she promotes
"American Idol" and her upcoming album. Despite that, she admitted in
an interview with "On Air With Ryan Seacrest"
that her style isn't as planned out as we thought. "I lay down a couple
of choices in the morning; then I choose while I am doing hair and
makeup," she said of her style choices on the show.
The "On the
Floor" singer will head back to her old stomping grounds on Wednesday
when she returns as a judge for Season 13 of "Idol" and we have to
wonder if her spicy leather and lace look was just a ploy to get us to
tune into the struggling singing competition.
We gotta say J.Lo, if that was your plan, it is working.
