Chelsea
have confirmed that their manager, Jose Mourinho, was in Paris on
Monday to undergo surgery on his elbow. The operation was carried out,
to cure a long-standing complaint the 50-year-old has been carrying.
Mourinho oversaw the Blues’ 3-1 win over Manchester United on Sunday
at Stamford Bridge, before he attended a Football Writers’ Association
dinner at the Savoy Hotel, where the media honoured him.
“Jose Mourinho today underwent a minor arthroscopic procedure on a long-standing elbow complaint. He will return to work tomorrow (Tuesday),” read a message from the club’s official Twitter handle.
