Emmanuel Amuneke lads triumphed over Edwin Okon’s side in a friendly match played in Abuja on Friday
A first half brace from Chidera Ejuke inspired a comfortable win for Emmanuel Amuneke’s side against the Super Falcons preparing for an international friendly against the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon later this month.
Ejuke opened the flood gate of goals barely six minutes from kickoff with a simple tap in after receiving a pass from Kehinde Ayinde and got his second in the 16th minute after breezing past the Falcons defence.
Paul Obasi got the third goal of the 60 minutes game six minutes on restart of the second half before Kingsley Michael scored the fourth goal of encounter following an assist from Henry Daniel.
Henry who was adjudged man of the match got the fifth goal while Orji Okoronkwo sealed the win with a fine finish in the closing stages of the friendly.
The Golden Eaglets will be facing Mali and Niger in Group B of the 2014 West African Football Union (WAFU) championship to hold between April 19 and 27 in Togo
Coach Amuneke is expected to reel out a 30-man team for the tourney which will put his boys in proper shape as they face either Burundi or Congo DR in August for the Niger 2015 African U17 Championship which serves as qualifiers for the Fifa U17 World Cup that will hold in Chile.
