Fast & Furious 6
The list of the Hollywood actors who brought in the year's biggest box office hits was somewhat bittersweet this year as the Top 10 features no less than three stars of Universal's "Fast & Furious" franchise.

Paul Walker, who died in a car crash on Nov. 30, had the biggest hit of his career right before his death, with "Furious 6" earning $789 million at the global box office. Walker placed sixth on Forbes's Top Grossing Actors list.

Walker's co-star and off-screen close friend Vin Diesel placed fourth on the list, with "Riddick" bringing in more than $98 million internationally on top of the huge earnings of "Furious 6" (also a career-best for Diesel).

And this year's top box office champ? Walker and Diesel's co-star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, whose total tally for the year was $1.3 billion thanks to the combined box office grosses of "Furious 6," "Pain & Gain," "G.I. Joe: Retaliation," and "Snitch." Johnson is set for a pretty big 2014 as well with "Hercules" hitting theaters in July ... along with possibly "Fast & Furious 7," which, as of this post, is still holding fast to its July 11 release date.

Johnson's $1.3 billion total just barely eclipsed the box office grosses brought in by runner-up (and last year's highest grossing actor) Robert Downey Jr. — though, to be fair, Tony Stark managed to bring in $1.2 billion with just one movie: "Iron Man 3," which is currently the highest-grossing film of 2013. If Downey Jr. had starred in Alfonso Cuarón's "Gravity" as originally planned, he would've delivered the People's Elbow to The Rock and claimed the No. 1 spot for himself.

Speaking of "Gravity," Sandra Bullock came in at fifth place at $862 million thanks to the collective total of the acclaimed sci-fi thriller and this summer's buddy cop flick, "The Heat." Bullock is the first of only two women on the list, with Jennifer Lawrence coming in at No. 10 with $700 million ... though that number will increase by Dec. 31, as "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" continues to rake in the bucks and "American Hustle" looks to be one of the holiday season's biggest hits.

Voice acting brought in the big bucks this year as well, with Steve Carell and the monster duo of Billy Crystal and John Goodman bringing in $964 million and $743 million, respectively, thanks to their animated audience favorites "Despicable Me 2" and "Monster University" (Carell also brought in a few more dollars with "The Way Way Back" and "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone" ... and will probably bring in a few more after "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues" opens on Dec. 18).

Finally, not to be undone by mere mortals, the God of Thunder came in at ninth place thanks to a collective total of $701 million, tallied from "Thor: The Dark World" and "Rush," the latter of which starred his mortal alter ego, Chris Hemsworth.
